HEY! we are leaking new tunes from our demo for Ronk Ng Rool, Pt. 2! they are leaking everywhere, please allow them to keep leaking by sending them out to all of your friends who are looking for a new band to like and who is open to becoming a fan of Handglops. because we could sincerely use a few more fans (love you guys it’s just, you know, who couldn’t use a few more fans!!)

we have been “sending out demos” so maybe someone will actually say “yes we can do business with Handglops”. remains to be seen! anyway, the leaked track we have up now is “The First Party”, an old favorite that gets a new soul in this extended new version. enjoy!

check it out, glopsfans! here we have yet ANOTHER new Handglops cover song! it’s a version of “Hologram” by The Urinals. now, i know you’re thinking “Didn’t Digital Leather cover this song on their last record?” and i am sure many have also covered it too. so what? i thought punk music was all about not caring! so poo on you, i doo not care a whit!

Attention, my dear Handglops fans! Would you like your voice to appear the next Handglops album, Ronk Ng Rool, Pt. 2? Now’s your chance! We are looking for all types of voices to “sing along the days of the weekend” on one of our biggest hit songs “The Weekend”. This is the track that will kick off the record. This is your shot at the big time! Don’t blow it.

It’s very easy to play along! Just send us an .mp3 (or .wav or .aiff) file of you singing the name of each day of the weekend (“Fri-day!”, “Satur-day!”, “Sun-day!”) at about 204 BPM (Metronome to help you out). Feel free to get a little crazy with it– we’ll make it sound really good once we get all of the voices together. And there’s no deadline as of yet, as we’ll be working on the new record for a while! HELLO! welcome to the BRAND NEW handglops.com. this is a much better website, trust me. i am using wordpress now so stuff will actually show up on google, i can link to new posts, and it is just much easier in general to make updates and make new posts. myspace is bad now, so this will now be my internet home. stay tuned for the new website sections to be finished up over the next week or so (including interviews with the band, an interactive photo gallery, and more!)

hoo boy, it has been quite some time since i updated handglops.com. i hope you’re not too bummed. a lot has been happening! i have finished school, moved out to the “bug city” and have finished a new set of songs for the split tape with Sea Lions on Obeast, which is actually coming out really soon. i shall make an update when i can on that matter. i have played a number of shows since we last spoke, some were better than others but i think i had a lot of fun and that’s really all that matters! got a big show coming up at swarthmore with Blank Dogs and Little Girls, so go to that if you’re in the philly area. i think it’ll be one of the best shows i ever play probably. over the next couple days i am gonna get the site up to date w/ show archives, fliers and all that junk. hope you’re having fun, maybe i will see you around!

“Store” section added to the website where you can buy a Ronk Ng Rool CD, plus also one of the few remaining US Girls 7″ records on Cherry Burger Records (order them together for a cool discount!) Working on lots of new songs. They are not so damn noisy but they are still fun. If you want to trade for a CD let me know! Cos i would like to trade some. Hope you’re having fun. I want to play some shows too, we’ll see if that could happen. Look out for some new records coming out pretty soon from Handglops!

“Pretty soon” is now actually pretty soon on the Gulchr CD. First promos are going out next week. I will be getting some copies of my own too, probably in a week or so after that! I am getting a bunch that I will be selling in a new online store section, which will be running when I get the CD’s. They will be for the nice price.

Also, got some new records forthcoming — a split tape with one of my favorite pop bands going, Sea Lions (out of Oxnard, CA), on a label that is to be determined. Also, me and G Green, Trudgers, and Jeans Wilder, all more real cool bands from California, are putting out our own 4 way split 7″. A lot of people hate that format, but we are like “why not put out a 4 way split 7″… it is economical in these tough times and we are going to work to make the songs fit well together. It will be one of your favorite records. Like the old days when bands could put out a 4 way split and people would be like “ok cool, i can hear 4 bands for the price of one!” SEE YA!

The tour went well! Many thanks to everyone who helped us set up the shows and who came to them! We had fun, hopefully we can play more in the near future. We are currently working on finishing up demo #4, russ and i recorded the music a couple weeks ago and i am writing some lyrics now. Those songs hsould be up on myspace pretty soon. The Gulcher CD should be out officially pretty soon too, so look out for that. Also, there have been many updates to the website. check out the new audio section where you can stream a bunch of stuff. Just look around a bit and you will find some cool stuff.

Jan 5: Chicago IL at Ida Noyes Hall on UChicago campus w/ The Butts, Ryan Pits and Boy Toys

you had ought to come out to one of these shows, we have been practicing. we will play both fast and slow songs, i think we are playing just about the whole album, plus a couple from the old days. the lineup will be me on guitar and singing, russ on drums and keyboard, and will on the bass. way fun.
